There are many words in the English language but no one knows how many. One of the reasons is because words are invented in slang, Groups of words can translate to a single meaning or it is a language that is evolving. In Hong Kong English is a second language while the primary tongue is Cantonese. If you have good knowledge with the English Language you can easily obtain employment teaching English in Hong Kong. This culture of people is highly passionate about learning English. As the saying goes, “it is easier said than done. When you dive into English you’ll realize it’s an important tool that will further your potential in life.

In the land of opportunity it is necessary to speak and understand good English. One factor to be aware of is censorship. If your English teacher is a believer of this then you may miss out on some interesting words that are used but generally not in public. Nonetheless they are words that you should be aware of, especially when someone strongly disagrees with something. I will not elaborate but can say swear words are used by the majority of English speaking people and it would be silly to not know them.
